this family is an Ashwatha vriksham (a temporary tree) supported by God. Its roots face towards east and branches face towards west. The branches represent people tending towards downfall and the leaves represent fragments of Vedas. The one who understands this truth has mastered the Vedas.

'Ashwatha' literally means 'that which will not remain even till tomorrow'. Yet the learned ones say that it will never perish! This implies that though family is not permanent, its main support is God. If one is in awareness of this fact, his family becomes the path of spiritual practice (sadhana) and leads him to the holy feet of God.

Being a part of him, man was fundamentally and basically spiritual and at an elevated plane. He was lured by prakriti and faced downfall. How can we regain our original state and attain the presence of God? Vedas clearly state that we cannot attain Him with our japa and tapa (chanting name and doing penance).

Then how can we reach God who is not reachable through speech and thought? The Vedas state how God cannot be attained but do mention how God can be attained!

The benevolent Sri Radha witnessed the pitiable state of human beings in this Kaliyuga. Being the embodiment of love, She decided to provide a support to them and explain how they can extricate themselves from their family bonds. Who possesses the capacity to communicate Sri Radha's loving message to mankind? Only he, who is an inseparable attribute of Sri Radha and whose form represents the formless Mother! That is why Radhaji sent Her intimate, confidential sakhi to this world. Radhasakhi, the personification of Sri Radha came down to earth with the sole purpose of elevating the human beings. It is our greatest fortune that the Radhasakhi is none other than our Nanna. The Radhasakhi who does not grant darshan even to Brahma and other Gods came down to earth with the divine intention of being one among us as Nanna and dedicate us to the holy feet of Sri Radha.
Nanna concealed his extraordinary sakhi's luminescence and lived as one among the ordinary mortals. Many Mahatmas who observed his lifestyle clearly stated that the Rasikacharya was constantly in Radhaji's presence, watching Her and conversing with Her in his unique inward existence. The Mahatmas, particularly those in Brindavan addressed him as 'Confidential Sakhi of Sri Radhaji' and 'Rasikasiromani'. He often spoke directly to Her saying 'my life shall reflect You. I will show the world who You are. I will move in this world but I will see the world with You before my eyes. You must guide my mind (thoughts), words and actions. You must take control of these three and make me move forward. I will live only for Your happiness.' All his life Nanna conducted only such activities, which would benefit mankind and please Mother.

God is controlling the whole world. He controls man by his Maya, by creating the state in which man is ensnared in family ties. In this way, God is present in everybody's heart.

The deity of Lord Krishna showered Her graceful glance on man who is trapped in the maya of family bonds and so unable to realize the God who is residing within him, in his heart!

In 1990 Nanna was asleep one night in Brindavan ashram. A five-year-old girl appeared in his dream and asked 'Mijhe alankar karo' (Adorn me). Nanna awoke immediately. He bought silk clothes and decorated the idols of Radha and Krishna in the ashram. When he asked Mother whether She liked the decoration. She replied 'Yeh acchha nahin hai' (This is not good). He decorated Her idol with various ornaments, pearl necklaces and varieties of bangles. But She did not like any of them. Nanna did not know what to do. He met the Mahatmas in Brindavan and said, 'Radhaji asked me to adorn Her. But She does not like whatever I am doing. What could be the implication of Her words?'. The Brindavan Mahatmas replied 'we can explain even Vedas to some extent but we cannot understand the inner meaning of Mother's words. She is beyond the Vedas too. Even Vedas could describe Her only to some extent and thereafter saluted Her with respect saying 'Neti Neti' (not this). Then how can we explain the inner meaning of such a Radhaji's words?' When Nanna asked them to suggest a way, they said 'Perform penance in Ravali, the place where Mother came on earth. She will only show you the way. Since you are blessed with the vision of astral world, you will certainly be able to find out what She wishes.'
Nanna retreated into the interior forests of Ravali and did penance. Radhaji sent two of Her sakhis who were glowing with resplendent radiance. Having darshan of Mother's sakhis is a very significant event. Anna paid his respects to them and asked, 'Radhaji asked me to adorn Her. She is not pleased with any of our decorations. Then how should we adorn Her?'
The sakhis smiled and said, "Radhaji is that Supreme Complete form which has encompassed all the worlds. We cannot even see Her Complete form, which is infinite, and all pervading. Can anyone adorn such a Mother? Even Brahma and Vishnu could not succeed in their efforts to see Mother. Her words are very peculiar. She sent us to explain the meaning of Her words asking you to adorn Her. We shall reveal that secret to you. Listen carefully.
It is man who must adorn himself. Unless he adorns himself completely, he cannot go near Her. Adorning does not refer to any materialistic ornaments. She does not want any decoration related to prakriti or chinmaya planes; She wants only decoration related to bhava . Bhavaloka is beyond Prakriti and chinmaya lokas. Radha is the Sovereign of Bhavaloka. To reach Her holy feet, man must adorn his mind with bhava. Mother granted four divine principles. We must help the human beings to adorn their mind by following these principles and then lead them to Mother. That is the only way by which we can adorn Her. The four Divine principles are:
It can be considered that he who conducts his life according to these four principles has adorned himself and would reach Mother.
The Sakhis spoke thus to Nanna and disappeared. Radhaji created this incident of asking Nanna to adorn Her, as a preamble for Her leela; to declare to the world, the purpose of Nanna's coming to earth.
The Sakhis handed over the four principles granted by Radhaji Herself. I will explain them in detail. You must conduct your life accordingly. 'Mana yeva manushyanam karanam bandhamokshayoh' - The Vedas say that the mind only is the cause for either bondage or liberation. Then how can we decorate such a mind? The four divine principles granted by Mother are like four vast oceans. If you really wish to reach Her Holy feet in any age, the only way is to adorn yourself like this. These four divine principles are our Bhagawad Gita. You must adorn your mind with these principles. This teaching is at the intellectual plane. If you follow them you will certainly attain Her presence.
Nanna handed over these four principles to us through his words, songs, talks, books and exemplary lifestyle. In the eight volumes of Brindavaneswari Sri Radha Devi he explained Sri Radha tattwa in detail and outlined how man should adorn his mind.
Lord Krishna handed over Bhagawad Gita to humanity. All the religions in the world have accepted Gita as Universal Science. Sri Radha is the deity of that Krishna! 'Krishnena aradhyateti Radha' - The Radhikopanishad mentions that She is Radha because She is worshipped by Krishna. The Swamini, the Supreme Sovereign Sri Radhaji decided to grace the human beings and granted four divine principles, which are essentially the essence of Bhagawad Gita! Radhasakhi, our Nanna lovingly passed on the nectarine flow of these four divine principles to us.
Nanna clearly explained the meaning of four divine principles, which he heard from the sakhis thus:
